Amy Ewbank - ReStory Your Brain
A few long-distance sound issues today.
Amy Ewbank is “a deliciously flawed, complex and wonderful human being, who supports other deliciously flawed, complex and wonderful human beings to live their best lives.”
We take an early detour with interesting insights into media’s use of women and the story around them… and male bonding.
Many of us have a story about what our life will look like. Amy discusses what we might do if things don’t follow that story line.
When you berate yourself, Amy suggests bringing a sense of curiosity about your thoughts and… bring a sense of humour too. When you Re-Story” focus on Joy… focus on alternatives.
Amy discusses the Bechdel Test. You may want to look that up! (link below)
When you ponder “What am I?” what is your first response? And don’t “people please”!
You’re a role model… did you realize that? Embrace it!

About the guest: Amy Ewbank
Amy is a deliciously flawed, complex and wonderful human being, who supports other deliciously flawed, complex and wonderful human beings to live their best lives.
Her career has been squiggly, from working as an actor in theatre and BBC Radio, to writing plays and directing actors through my theatre company and charity Doll’s Eye Theatre, to being a passionate mental health advocate, a people development guru, an often impatient mother to a small lovely 6 year old thug, proudly autistic, an ardent and fervent feminist, a splashy creative and a lover of all things story.
She, like all of us, is many things (including the boring qualifications list- ILM, CIPD, LAMDA, trained UK Mediator etc etc etc).
She is a life coach for women ready to re-story their brains, using the HerStory framework to encourage them to jangle their lives about a bit, until the contents plonk on the floor, have a reshuffle, have a play, and pick them up again, revived, exciting, shiny and new.
