About the guest: Donna Marie Barr
At fifty-seven, after raising three sons and a successful career, she joined the Peace Corps and was assigned to the South Pacific islands of Samoa.
Her memoir of that life-changing adventure My View from the House by the Sea: A Life Transformed by Samoa and the Peace Corps is her first book.
Donna lives in the rainforest on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi, surrounded by orchids and other tropical flowers.
