Passion Project to Purpose with Anne Alexander-Sieder
As a young woman in the U.S., Anne Alexander-Sieder was an actress. That ended when she followed a handsome young German fellow back to Germany as his wife. Sixteen years later she made the huge decision to go back to acting… in a second language… in a foreign country… at 47. Yikes!
Today she shares:
- What prompted that decision
- The community she found
- How too many women are defined by their “roles”
- “Our curiosities are the key to unlocking our purpose on this planet”
- Reframing nervousness and fear as excitement
- The concept of curating experts
- Small intentional steps
Anne’s rekindled career in acting has included Netflix and Hallmark movies and has led to her program “Passion Project to Purpose”.

About the guest: Anne Alexander-Sieder
I was a professional actor in the U.S., and nearly 30 years ago, I moved to Germany for love—not my career. Life took me in different directions, but I always felt the pull to return to acting. So, at 47, after a 16-year break (and with less-than-perfect German!), I successfully relaunched my acting career from Munich, working with some of the biggest production companies like Netflix, Hallmark, A24, and Occupant Films, just to name a few.
When I first decided to return to acting, I didn’t know where to start, so I began with training—just taking those first small steps. That foundational training became the launchpad for my career comeback. As I began booking more roles, other actors started coming to me for career guidance, which eventually led me to create Get Better Roles, a program to empower actors to get into the rooms that matter so they can land the roles they deserve.
But this journey also taught me something big: so many people put their dreams on hold because they’re frozen in the “how,” waiting to feel like an “expert” before they even begin. This realization inspired Passion Project to Purpose, a freedom-filled program designed to help people create a life of meaning and impact—without the need to be an expert or coach.
I’m living proof that dreams don’t have expiration dates. I’d love to share my story, what I’ve learned about resilience and reinvention, and how anyone can take that first step to build a life that genuinely fits who they are.
